I have done very little knitting in the last...6 months or so. Reasons for this lack may be revealed later. I have been going to "comfort food" reading and videos, however, when I am tired or not feeling so well in the evenings after work, or on the weekends (which I very much need to recover from the week!).
I received a gift certificate to amazon.com for Christmas, and finally purchased a video set, Agatha Christies's Poirot, the Classic Collection. David Suchet (and the supporting cast) are excellent. I far prefer the BBC/PBS Boston Poirot series, versus the A&E Poirot versions, which are far less driven by character, and with a lot more melodrama.
I am a sucker for classic "cozy" mysteries, aside from Christie, Dorothy Sayers, Josephine Tey, Ngaio Marsh. And well-acted videos make them even more relaxing sometimes.
I'm also starting on the Brother Cadfael series, through Netflix. I read the books (a number of them) years ago, but I love the visuals, the scenery, and of course, Sir Derek Jacobi.
Any recommendations for cozy mysteries out there? I'd love to hear of more authors I should be reading.
