This August, as you'll know from my last post, has been quite busy and chaotic. Being back in New England for late Summer is wonderful, though. One of things I've missed over the years are all the local festivals that seem to crop up here, especially around the end of Summer and into Autumn. Perhaps that is one of the reasons I would get so excited about the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival every year. My hometown has a festival every September, and there are more small festivals I'm discovering now that I'm living here.
I'm thinking about attending this one, which I'm looking forward to tremendously. There are also local 4H fairs going on. And I'm hoping to plan an apple-picking trip soon with Sprout at one of the local orchards. And, of course, there is The Big E, which I've not attended, but would like to.
I've missed it so. NEW ENGLAND I AM IN YOU...and I want to attend your celebrations! If you know of other festivals in the area (at any time of the year), please share!
Once we move in to the new place we've found, I'm looking forward to getting out my wool and needles and knitting up a storm in the cooler weather.
